Theater 145: All Souls Night

Synopsis:

On a dark and stormy night, a distraught young woman seeks the aid of a doctor to release her from the thrall of a deadly entity changing her into….something else. But her immortal Master has yet another, more powerful, unholy being under his control. What can the doctor do?

Simon Bowler Khan

After graduating with a degree in Film and TV from the University of Westminster in London, Simon produced at the BBC and BBC World Service Television, then made feature documentaries for Channel 4, The World Bank, and Friends of the Earth.  In the United States, he produced the acclaimed mockumentary feature film ‘Man of the Year’ and produced multiple shows for ABC, PBS, Discovery, Oxygen, Bravo, Channel 4 (UK), and Fox. He has written four award-winning full-length plays; Judgment of the Eye (The Beverly Hills Theatre Guild Award, Broadway Bound Festival Winner, Sultan Padamsee Playwright Award Winner, Pharmacy Theatre New Writers Winner, Wishbone Theater Winner, Paragon Press Winner, Broad Horizons New Voices Finalist, Julie Harris Playwright Award)  The Enemy of the State (Coverfly World Series Contest Winner,  The Writer Speaks Winner, Lighthouse Writers Winner, New Works of Merit Finalist, Sultan Padamsee Finalist),  Marlowe Part One, (Writemovies Play Writing Winner, Innovasian Writing Initiative Grand Prize, The Red List #1 Historical Stage Play, Dramatists Guild End of Play Readings, New Works of Merit Honorable Mention, American Community Theater New Play Finalist,) and Marlowe Part Two (Writemovies Play Writing Winner, Innovasian Writing Initiative Winner, Screencraft Stage Play Finalist).  He is writing a play about Edwin Hubble and has written six award-winning screenplays.

Bernadette Armstrong

Bernadette moved to Los Angeles to work in film in the late 1990s and after her first two films went to festivals she took a short hiatus from writing until she fell in love with small theater. Since 2008 she has had several successful theater projects produced in No Hollywood. Her play The Reading Group was named Pick of the Week by LA Weekly Magazine and in 2017 her play Simple Lives was nominated for Outstanding Writing of an Original Play or Musical by the Valley Theater Awards (the only woman nominated.) Bernadette is also the producer and founder of the Open Door Playhouse Podcast!

Daamen Krall

Daamen has worked as a professional actor/voice-over artist in films and television for the past 38 years. Some recent film credits include THE POST, CARS III, AMERICAN PASTORAL, UNBROKEN 2, and, for television, SLEEPY HOLLOW and MADMEN. One of his favorite projects was starring in the title role of the award-winning remake of THE CABINET OF DOCTOR CALIGARI. He also produced the award-winning short film HIDE. Under the banner of MIDNIGHT SCREAM PRODUCTIONS with partner Robert Shelby, he is currently in post-production for the web series THE LISTENER. Daamen is also the host and sometimes cast member of the return of radio’s theatre of thrills, SUSPENSE, which has gained fans worldwide and was nominated twice for a Peabody Award.

Allan Wasserman

Allan Wasserman celebrates fifty years as a working actor in many feature films ...such as Suburbicon playing opposite Matt Damon and directed by George Clooney and Funny People opposite Adam Sandler and directed by Judd Apatow and many more. His numerous television appearances include recurring guest star work as Rabbi Sherman on the upcoming series The Shrink Next Door opposite Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd, Hunters as well as the F/X pilot Gone Hollywood, and numerous guest stars on Arrested Development, Castle, Two Broke Girls, Bones, The Office, ER, The Sopranos, Boston Legal, Las Vegas, Sex and the City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Seinfeld. On stage Allan performed on Broadway in The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel with Al Pacino and in many plays in numerous theaters around the country. Allan is an alto saxophonist, vibraphonist and bandleader of The Allan Wasserman Jazz Ensemble.
