Synopsis:

Ethan wants to be a good son and a good caregiver to his forgetful mother. Not everything is how it seems, however, in this narrative which has an unexpected twist ending worthy of O. Henry.

The prolific writer’s previous plays include Games of the Mind, A Piano Player with Sad Brown Eyes, What the Puck?, Tina, Be a Guest, Smoke and Fire, and more. He is also a director (over 100 credits) and actor.

Miranda Stewart is a freelance film and theater director based in Los Angeles. Her directing credits include Pick Your Battles (Fierce Backbone), The Chocolate Affair (Scribe Stages), Raise Your Hand (Acting Out INK Fest), Vital Records (GLO), Eleemosynary (Hollywood Fringe Festival), Catalyst (Loft Ensemble), ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore (Archway Theatre, LA Weekly's Pick of the Week), A Part and Funeral Party (Hollywood Fringe Festival), Old Times (Occidental College), The Ash Girl, Little Shop of Horrors, and Metamorphoses (all at Caltech). She has also directed a feature film, Fishbowl, and several short films. Currently, Miranda is attending CalArts, pursuing an MFA in Film Directing.

Noelle Evangelisti

Noelle earned an MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts. She has worked on major motion pictures including: Terminator Two: Judgement Day, LA Confidential, The Babysitter and Pacific Heights. Noelle has performed in numerous theaters in Los Angeles and Chicago. Three of her favorite and most memorable roles were: Prudence in Beyond Therapy at Ruth Page in Chicago, Liz in The Philadelphia Story and The Nurse in Romeo and Juliet at Hillside Rep in Los Angeles. She still loves working on commercials and voiceovers and had a great time doing a radio play pre-Covid with the Screen Actors Guild. She feels blessed to work with Bernadette and everyone at Open Door!

Omari Williams

Omari Williams, a Houston native, graduated from the Baylor University Theatre program with a BFA in Theatre Performance. Some recent audio productions he has been a part of are: Cyber-o and Women and Guns with Premiere the Play Podcast as well as Rede Me This Riddle and The Thing on the Fourble Board with Quiet Please. He is grateful to be recording another audio play with Open Door Playhouse.
