Summary

OvEn is an entertaining tale just in time for the Halloween season. Jenny and her best
friend Lucy are selling cookies door to door far and wide in hopes of raising funds for Jenny’s college tuition. Their efforts take a bit of a turn when they land on the doorstep of Mrs. Zodiac, the widow of the Zodiac Killer, who’s pre-heating her oven just for them….

Rachel Berney Needleman

Rachel Berney Needleman is a director and dramaturg for new plays and classical work. As a director: 4 Minutes by DJ Hills (MeetCute LA 2022), Playground-LA (2021-22 Season), Theresa Rebeck’s What We’re Up Against (Pacific Resident Theatre Co-op),  Cabaret Noel with Gigi Bermingham (Antaeus Theatre Co. and Skylight Theatre), Five Second Chances by Mattie Brickman (PRT Co-op), Cowgirls by Mildred Lewis (EST-LA), The Space Between (The Braid). Rachel has directed new play readings and workshops at The Blank, EST-LA, Skylight, and Theatricum Botanicum. Her dramaturg credits include Antaeus (Diana of Dobson’s, Cloud 9, Henry IV) and Arizona Theatre Company (At Wit’s End). Rachel is also a co-author of the LA Anti-Racist Theatre Standards.

Anne Cooper (Mrs. Zodiac)

Anne Cooper has acted under the direction of influential Film and TV directors such as Sam Raimi, Paul Schrader, and Kat Coiro. She has performed with Angela Lansbury, Mary Beth Hurt, William Hurt, Danny DeVito, Lee Remick, and Geraldine Page, and most recently in the new film MARRY Me with Jennifer Lopez and John Bradley of House of Thrones. Anne studied acting under Uta Hagen, Herbert Berghof, and Michael Schurtleff, and attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.  She has a BA from EMU. In addition to her acting career, She has directed and developed plays both in NYC and LA. She is a theatre consultant to LA GOA, which provides services for adults with developmental disabilities. Anne is on the summer acting faculty at Interlochen Center for the Arts.  She has dual citizenship from USA and Italy and speaks fluent Italian. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles and New York. She is a big fan of Bernadette Armstrong as a writer and director, and was in her production of SIMPLE LIVES and feels lucky to again be working with Bernadette.

Zelda Kimble (Jenny)

Zelda Kimble is from Singapore, but currently lives in LA and has been acting her entire life. She likes champagne, glitter, and murder mysteries. She owns too many candles and has a paranormal podcast called Across the Veil.

Sienna Tso (Lucy)

Sienna Tso is a Navajo actress and screenwriter from Tucson, AZ. After studying film and theater at USC, Sienna worked in production on several shows while continuing her training as an actor. Sienna also enjoys writing comedy screenplays about urban Native female characters. Sienna hopes to bring a modern awareness to audience’s perspectives of Natives in the media through her writing and acting.
