Bernadette ArmstrongDirector: Bernadette moved to Los Angeles to work in film in the late 1990s and after her first two films went to festivals she took a short hiatus from writing until she fell in love with small theater. Since 2008 she has had several successful theater projects produced in No Hollywood. Her play The Reading Group was named Pick of the Week by LA Weekly Magazine and in 2017 her play Simple Lives was nominated for Outstanding Writing of an Original Play or Musical by the Valley Theater Awards (the only woman nominated.)

Goreti da Silva as Rosalie
Since moving to Los Angeles from Canada, Goreti da Silva has worked in many films, tv programs, theatre, and improv shows. Most recently, you may have seen her on Big Little Lies, a Toyota commercial, or heard her voice in one of many radio plays on Opendoorplayhouse.org.
Goreti was awarded The Michael Grossman Most Inspirational Award for her body of theatre work in the Desert; and she won the Valley Theatre Award for her work in “Park Plays: Portland”.
When not performing, Goreti fills her "well" by teaching Improv, Theatre Arts, Playwriting, and Acting to underserved youth who write plays in which they later perform. Though Goreti has produced and directed dozens of plays, she continues to be surprised, delighted and inspired by our next generation of leaders.
Elaine Mello, as (Kathleen)
Elaine Mello is excited to be participating in Open-Door Podcast. Elaine has been working with Bernadette on many projects and continues to do so because of her creative talents and willingness to seek innovative and thought-provoking material. Grateful to be part of such an accepting movement of the arts.
Anne Cooper as (Anna)
Anne Cooper, a member of SAG/AFTRA and AEA for over thirty years, has acted under the direction of many talented Film and TV directors. She is in the upcoming movie MARRY ME with Jennifer Lopez. She is a theatre consultant to LA GOAL, which provides services for adults with developmental disabilities. She is a big fan of Bernadette Armstrong as a writer and director, and was in her production of SIMPLE LIVES and feels lucky to again be working with Bernadette.
Monique Gonsalvas as (Beth)
Monique Gonsalves is thrilled to perform in her first podcast play production with Open Door Playhouse. She holds a BA in Theater Arts with an Emphasis in Acting from the California State University of Fullerton. She has enjoyed success as a Children’s Theater Director for Town Hall Kids at the Town Hall Theater in Lafayette, CA. As well as her extensive experience as a costume character performer ranging from Princess Parties as Barbie and Cinderella to singing telegrams as Betty Boop and various events as a Marilyn Monroe Impersonator. After many years of moving across America and living and loving in some of its greatest cities like Chicago and New York- she is happy to be back on the best coast ardently pursuing the dream in Hollywoodland.
Rosney Mauger as (John Knight)
Rosney Mauger Is a Los Angeles-based Actor and Photographer from Mount Dora, Fl. He is excited and humbly grateful to be participating in the Open-Door Podcast. He has appeared in several on-stage productions most Recently in productions of “A Christmas Carol” and “All The Way” at South Coast Repertory. He is Also a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (2015).
Noelle Evangelisti as (Nurse Patty)
Noelle received her MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts. She was cast in the following major motion pictures: Terminator Two, LA Confidential, and Pacific Heights. Noelle has performed in numerous theaters in Los Angeles and one of her favorite and most memorable roles was Liz in The Philadelphia Story. She loves working on commercials and voiceovers and had a great time doing a radio play pre-Covid with the Screen Actors Guild. Enjoy and stay safe and healthy everyone!
