Karen Saari’s plays have received productions, readings and awards throughout the U.S. Full-length plays include IN A CLEARING (2018 world premiere, Magnetic Theatre Co in Asheville, NC; 2018 O'Neill semi-finalist; 2017 Last Frontier Theatre Conference PlayLab; 2017 ATHE Award finalist; 2015 Wisconsin Wrights New Play Festival winner) and BAD IN BED-A FAIRY TALE (2018 workshop production at Acadiana Rep in Lafayette, LA; Garry Marshall New Works Festival semi-finalist) and 'RAIN ON FIRE (2020 Talk Back Theatre Playwriting Prize; 2019 Br!nk Residency Award; 2018 Austin Film Festival Second-rounder). TEN DAYS IN A MADHOUSE (book and co-lyrics with Jennifer Hedstrom, music and co-lyrics) is a commissioned project for Music Theatre of Madison and received a 2020 National Alliance of Musical Theatre development grant.
One-acts JOYLAND, THE ONES WHO STAY, and A ROBOT, A CLOWN, AND A TURBAN have been performed across the country from Newport, WA to St. Louis to Milwaukee, WI. I'm a member of the Dramatists Guild and Playwrights Center.

Bernadette Armstrong
Bernadette moved to Los Angeles to work in film in the late 1990s and after her first two films went to festivals she took a short hiatus from writing until she fell in love with small theater. Since 2008 she has had several successful theater projects produced in No Hollywood. Her play The Reading Group was named Pick of the Week by LA Weekly Magazine and in 2017 her play Simple Lives was nominated for Outstanding Writing of an Original Play or Musical by the Valley Theater Awards (the only woman nominated.) Bernadette is also the producer and founder of Open Door Playhouse Podcast!

Joanna Ferbrache as Princess
Joanna Ferbrache is an award-winning actor who dabbles in a bit of everything including martial arts and music. She choreographed several productions worldwide, including The Sound of Music and Hercules and also was the executive producer for the LA short film Blame the Victim. Some of Joanna's most recent work has been creating content for her Youtube channel (A Cup of Jo for 1 Minute), acting in a Murder Mystery Advertisement Shoot, and recording voices for several cartoons including The Berserk Project and The Powerful Hero. In addition to working on The Rose Wagon, she is excited to be joining the cast of Getting Through an ASL short film, feature film Stella’s Birthday, and making her director debut for the horror-thriller Keep Moving.
Ayla Rose Barreau as Lorna
Ayla Rose Barreau, a New England native, has been performing on stage since before she could walk. Now as a SAG-AFTRA actor, Ayla has co-starred on Fox’s Glee and NBC’s Heroes and graced the big screen as Ruby in the award-winning film, The Busker. Ayla has kept herself busy with several digital theatre and TV projects over the pandemic and is currently a member of the SkyPilot Theatre Company. http://www.aylarose.com | @aylarosesays
